A good argument

"Some people are worried because they can't understand the words. But I tell them, the key to this mass is not about the words. Do we need a brochure to enjoy the music of Beethoven? Or the beauty of the Sistine Chapel? This is not about the words. It's about God."

I dunno about Fr. Brankin, but if "words don't matter" than I suppose you could just say "Hocus pokus."

The heck they don't matter. "Form and matter, form and matter."

And it's nice to know what you [the priests] are saying so we know you're not sacrificing a goat up there. TLM has its virtues, for sure -- but please, no more armies old ladies in a trance clutching their beads CLUELESS as to what's being said at the altar.
